    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Global Alert in Backup and Recovery will only alert for backup jobs configured within, when they are triggered and complete.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For alerting in storage consumption and capacity, you can leverage a variety of tools:&amp;nbsp; &lt;A _jive_internal="true" href="https://community.netapp.com/thread/15840" target="_blank"&gt;OnCommand/DFM&lt;/A&gt;, &lt;A href="http://jeremywaldrop.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/vmware-vsphere-vcenter-storage-alarms/" target="_blank"&gt;vCenter alerting&lt;/A&gt;, &lt;A href="http://support.netapp.com/NOW/download/software/vasa_win/1.0/" target="_blank"&gt;VASA&lt;/A&gt;, and a variety of 3rd party tools.&amp;nbsp; I'd highly recommend leveraging VASA for alerting if you are running vSphere 5 and have met all of the requirements on the &lt;A href="http://support.netapp.com/matrix/" target="_blank"&gt;IMT&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What about Global email alert in Virtual storage console 4.0 in the Backup and Recovery tab, setup section?&amp;nbsp; Will it alert for datastores that are nearly full?&amp;nbsp; For datastores that are disconnect?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just want to know what kind of alert it will send before puting it on.&amp;nbsp; See attached image.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
