NetApp Thin Provisioned LUN's behind a SVC environment

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with FC LUNs on NetApp FAS behind a SVC environment.

How does our Storage Efficiency features, especially Thin Provisioning and Deduplication, behave behind SVC.

Does NetApp Thin Provision work like a native connection to a VMware server, or does SVC manupilates the LUN in a way that it claims (allocates) the full space of the LUN.

Hope anyone of you knows the answer

Hi,

While I haven't tested this specifically I do know that the SVC does NOT zero the LUNs so I would expect there to be not issue.
