      <title>NetApp Thin Provisioned LUN's behind a SVC environment</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anyone have experience with FC LUNs on NetApp FAS behind a SVC environment.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How does our Storage Efficiency features, especially Thin Provisioning and Deduplication, behave behind SVC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does NetApp Thin Provision work like a native connection to a VMware server, or does SVC manupilates the LUN in a way that it claims (allocates) the full space of the LUN.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope anyone of you knows the answer&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Robin Dammers&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SE - NetApp Netherlands&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
