Data ontap credentials needed to run VSC ?

Hello,

I'm not sure to find which credentials (roles) VSC needs to run properly with Data Ontap ?

Excluding the root account, what are the roles need to create an account on data ontap please ?

Hi JF, check the Installation and Admin Guide, Appendix A for all required roles.

Now get the "Only Cluster and Storage Virtual Machine management interfaces can be used to connect." error...

Whereas I connect to the cluster management IP/interface... (was tested on a Dataontap 8.2.1 simulator appliance for ESXi)..

Anything wrong with that ?

Connecting to the cluster IP should be fine. What type of role did you create (creation, modify, delete, backup)? Did you do it by hand or did you use the RBAC User Creator tool?

add an interface for cluster management and it was OK.

Was using the node management interface.
