Change LUN and vol, thick to thin

Hi,

I have a infrastructure with NetApp (with Ontap 7.x.x) and VMware. I have configured a LUN connected with VMware.

I need change LUN and Vol of "thick to thin". Can I do this change hot? Is there a risk?

Yes you can do this non-disruptively.

There are considerations such as how much contention there is for disk space on the aggregate - with no space guarantee the lun could go offline if the aggregate fills up.

Ensure you have your volume autogrow and snapshot autodelete settings enabled
