topic Behavior of various type of VMDKs with VAAI for NFS in VMware Solutions Discussions

Hi

I am trying to confirm the behaviour of choosing various types of VMDKs with NFS (VAAI enabled).

How is the space reserved for thin provisioned, lazy-zeroed thick provisioned and eager-zeroed thick provisioned disks in cases where VAAI for NFS is enabled?

I understand that NFS is thin provisioned by default and without VAAI, both Lazy-Zeroed Thick and Thin disks use space as they grow. Whereas eager-zeroed thick provisioned disks would use the entire space. How does this change with VAAI for NFS? Or does it?

Thanks

John
