VSC 5 Not Supported in DoT 8.3

Hello,

We are about to stand up new 8060s with Clustered OnTAP 8.3. This will be our first deployment of Clustered OnTAP. I've noticed on the IMT that no version of VSC is supported on Data OnTAP 8.3 yet. Does anyone know when support will be added, or when a version of VSC will be added that is supported? We rely heavily on VSC and don't want this issue to delay our deployment.

Hi,

As per the IMT, VSC 4.2.2 is the only version that is supported with cDOT 8.3.

Thanks. We just upgraded our ESX environment to 5.5, so we can't revert back to VSC 4.2.2 unfortunately.

Anyone know when a new version of VSC will come out for DoT 8.3?

VSC 4.2.2 is still supported with vSphere 5.5, you'll have to use the legacy vSphere client.

VSC 6 will support ONTAP 8.3
