Hello all,

We are trying to implement SME for an Exchange server that resides on VMware environment.

SME requires that Exchange server should has its DB and Log luns to be RDM or iSCSI mounted directly to the Exhange VM.

The customer here has an existitng Exchange server with volumes configures as DAS on the VMware datastore as VMDKs.

What we are looking for here, to implement this solution on this configuration without migrating Exchange server DBs to RDM or direct iSCSI mount luns.

Is this solution is even possible? and if not, is there a similar solution to provide the customer an archival solution for their Exchange server?

Just FYI, we have vSphere 6.0 and Exchange 2013.
