Hi there!

Have you configured Jumbo frames on any component of this environment? Vmware or NetApp? If so, what values are set?

We have a Vmware 6.0 cluster and using FAS2240-4 (8.23) for storage.

In the error log I can see this:

ISCSI: New session from initiator iqn.1990-07.com.emulex:dev-svr-03 at IP addr 10.0.0.3

ISCSI: New session from initiator iqn.1990-07.com.emulex:dev-svr-03 at IP addr 10.0.0.19

ISCSI: New session request from initiator iqn.1990-07.com.emulex:dev-svr-03, a session from this initiator already exists.

each esxi host has vmhba1 and vmhba2 configured with 2 ips as above. I'm just wondering why it's trying to connect with both and therefore giving us this error?

I am going to add to this topic since we are also getting this error too.

We are using the MS initiator inside the guest.

Jumbo frames are set for the Cisco switch (3650X) at 9000. On the storage vif to 9000.

As far as I can tell the only place Jumbo frames are not set is at the guest level.

Would that be the next step for us to set the guest vmxnet3 adapter to 9000 (currently set to 1500)?
