VSC 6.2P2 and vSphere 6.5U2 - Backup Jobs don't work

Hello,

We are building a new Windows 2016 vCenter 6.5U2G and installing VSC 6.2P2.

All is workign but the Backups.

The error message I get is:

Unable to connect to Virtual Storage Console server. Please make sure that the Virtual Storage Console server is running.

The NVPF log file shows:
Target method failed for RemoteInvocation: method name 'getBackupJobList'; parameter types [com.netapp.nvpf.api.model.RequestQuery, boolean, boolean]
org.springframework.remoting.RemoteAccessException: Could not access HTTP invoker remote service at [https://localhost:8143/smvi-nvpf-plugin/remoting/smviRmiExporter?sessionId=1c6c1e4175e1c4be6672055942b74b886edcb1c4&serviceUrl=https://vcenter-fqdn-:443/sdk]; nested exception is java.io.WriteAbortedException: writing aborted; java.io.NotSerializableException: com.sun.xml.internal.messaging.saaj.soap.ver1_1.SOAPPart1_1Impl

When installing the same VSC on Windows 2008 R2 it is working fine with the same vCenter 6.5U2G.

Do you know what needs to be tweaked on the Windows 2016 OS to make VSC 6.2P2 working?

Windows 2008 with VSC 6.2P2 ---> vCenter 6.5U2G - OK

Windows 2016 with VSC 6.2P2 ---> vCenter 6.5U2G -NOT OK

Hi,

You might consider updating to 6.2.2. That release (and 6.2.1) have support for Windows 2016 SE and DCE. 6.2 does not.
