Does NetApp FAS 8040 support DAS?

Dear all,

We are trying to connect our FAS 8040 to a HP Virtual Connect Flex Fabric directly but it not work. Netapp cannot see blade servers and vis versa.

When we use a San Switch between our FAS 8040 and HP VC it work.

So my question is: Does FAS 8040 support DAS (Direct Attached Storage)?

Your help will be appreciated.

cdot is not support FC Direct-connection

"Direct-connection to nodes from hosts with FC is not supported, NPIV is required and this requires a switch to be used."
