LUN backups with SnapDrive via OnCommand

Hi all,

We are currently running the latest version on OnCommand and are using it to backup all of our CIFS with no problems.

We have a number of Windows 2003 machines with iSCSI attached LUN's all looked after by SnapDrive V6.4, this is also setup to look at OnCommand. These are not SQL or Exchange servers so there are no SnapManager Tools installed on the machines.

At present we run batch files that take consistent Snaps of these LUN's, can I create a Dataset & Protection Policy to look after this for me?

I've tried creating one and importing the External Relationship for the current backup but it doesn’t create a consistent Snap.

Many thanks

Ian

use the sdcli to create the snapshot and put them as script and run thru the rsh or ssh.

use the link below for command syntax and for a study.
