IHAC using OVM and would like to use SC for creating snapshots of linux VMs (system partitions). I have tried new SC-OVM plugin - works nicely, but during "xm pause" I loose 2-3 pings (or the response time is 5-9 s if no ping is lost), so it's unusable for production systems in 24x7 mode.
Do you have any other idea, how to get extfs4 consistent snapshots of OS partitions (that is what the customer wants to "backup")? I can use RDM disks for every VM OS partition and create snapshot on controller using SSH from linux VM, before SSH I can call "sync; sync; sync" to empy as much cache as possible...
