SnapManager for Oracle - stopped working

sscott

After installing NetApp Management Console on the server running SnapManager for Oracle, SMO stopped working for us.

Any ideas about how to fix this?

As in crashed? Is there a core?

Mark, I don't believe anything crashed.  SMO GUI simply won't launch after the NMC was installed.

adaikkap

Hi Scott,

Can you try installing them in separate Machines?

Is launching SMO gui crashing?

What about launching NMC?

Regards

adai

sscott

Installing SMO and NMC on seperate machines is no problem.

However, the SMO installation appears to have been hosed after the NMC was installed.  SMOGUI will not launch (original post) even after NMC was removed.

I will open a case with NetApp Support...
