MPIO - how do I change paths to luns

Hi,

We are connecting from a windows 2008 server a netapp lun via two MPIO paths: 192.168.10.1 and 192.168.10.1 (this is our production network)

We want to change the connection to different paths on a private iscsi network now: 192.168.201.1 and 192.168.202.1

Do we need to disconnect the drives and re-connect use snapdrive?

Is there any good documentation on how to setup snapdrives using MPIO?

This is on a MS active /passive clustered SQL 2008 server with snapmanager for sql installed.

Thanks,
Dean

Hi,

You should add the private network (192.168.201.1 and 192.168.202.1) to the iSCSI Initiator Software. At Microsoft MPIO, check if you have 4 paths to the disks. If everything is Ok, you are able to remove the path through 192.168.10.1 and 192.168.11.1.
