Data Backup and Recovery
Data Backup and Recovery
Hi All,
Our company are looking to introduce a few 2200 series units and would like to use existing Overland NEO100S (IBM) tape backup units for direct connection to the filer. From what I can see the interfaces for SAS on the filer and SAS on the tape unit are different (smaller on the tape unit) can anyone confirm if there is any type of convertor/cable that would allow the connection? If it helps I believe the units we will be using will be running 7-modè software. We were hoping to use Snap Protect to manage the whole process too.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Garth.

dont forget to have a look at the compatability matrix to make sure the tape library is supported by the FAS and the ontap version
Thanks very much, just what I was looking for. Regards, Garth.
