Effective December 3, NetApp adopts Microsoft’s Business-to-Customer (B2C) identity management to simplify and provide secure access to NetApp resources.
For accounts that did not pre-register (prior to Dec 3), access to your NetApp data may take up to 1 hour as your legacy NSS ID is synchronized to the new B2C identity.

SC4.1.1 GUI not picking up correct vfiler name.

when choosing a vfiler via the gui it does not pickup capital letters.

i had to edit the config file manually to enter correct vfiler name.

in this case it was named Segotx768 but it wrote segotx768 in the config.

 

This resulted in that it did not register a snapshot version in the PM dataset because PM is case sensitive and Segotx768 is not the same as segotx768.

Is/Was there a case opened on this?

If so do you mind shareing the case number with me? 

 

I'll sned this along to the engineering team, but a case would help it along if there is one.

No i dont have a case.

We have solved it by changing the name of the vfiler to only small letters so i cant reproduce it.

 

i just thought i should mention it for future releases. 😄
