SMO + RMAN

Hi,

In a SMO environment, can the integration with RMAN do more than just register backups in the recovery catalog?

Could it be used for house keeping of archived logs or would that have to be managed separately?

If separately, any suggestions on how to do this in a smart way?

SMO does not restore archieve log files but does include them in each back-up. User can manage Archieve logs using RMAN. User can take backup using SMO and RMAN can be used for restore
