SMSAP-13032: Cannot perform operation: Profile Update

Hi,

We are using Snap Manager 3.3 for oracle 11.2.0.3.

We have successfully created the connection to the repository server and created the profile for one of the SAP servers successfully.

However whenever I try to make the changes to the profile and save, it gives this error below :

SMSAP-13032: Cannot perform operation: Profile Update.  Root

cause: SMSAP-13504: Verify operation failed. Errors: [SMSAP-13501:

SQLPlus verification for database SID "HBS" failed: ORACLE-00002:

Unable to connect to database HBS to perform check. Database

may not exist, may not be running, or the listener may not be

running. Oracle error is: HBS  Environment: [USER=orahbs, ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/HBS/11203,

ORACLE_SID=HBS, LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/oracle/HBS/11203/lib:/oracle/HBS/11203/lib32:/oracle/HBS/11203/bin:/oracle/HBS/11203/rdbms/lib]]

The backups are running fine, Oracle DB is up and running, listener is up. If there is was a connection problem to the DB then backups should have failed but thats not the case.

Please help

Salman

Hello Salman,

Can you please send the operation dump to look into this issue. Also, can you let me know what update was done on profile.

Thanks,

Himanshu

Hi Himanshu,

Where can I find operation dump please?

I try to do any change in profile property window, it fails with this error message. I have attached the screenshot for reference.

Thanks,

Salman

Salman,

You can run "smo profile dump -profile <profile_name>" to get log information about a particular file.

Thanks,

Himanshu
