U.S. Based Operating Systems

Both the support matrix and the installation guide state "Only U.S.-based operating systems are currently supported" for Snap Creator 4.1.2. What precisely does this mean? In our case we are running RHEL 6.x where the .x is supported in all cases. The locale however is typically set to the UK as follows

LANG=en_GB
LC_CTYPE="en_GB"
LC_NUMERIC="en_GB"
LC_TIME="en_GB"
LC_COLLATE="en_GB"
LC_MONETARY="en_GB"
LC_MESSAGES="en_GB"
LC_PAPER="en_GB"
LC_NAME="en_GB"
LC_ADDRESS="en_GB"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_GB"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_GB"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_GB"
LC_ALL=

It is unclear to me whether this would break Snap Creator - I would hope not!

Hi,

I inquired with engineering, and apparently this was added as in some cases there may be issues with non-US character (font) sets.

Because the character sets are very similar using en_GB we would not anticipate any issues.

I'm still talking to engineering to see if we can help clarify this statement.

You should not have any issue 🙂

Thanks,

John
