change sql clone from full to simple recovery mode

Hi,

We need to regularly rebuild an index on a clone, and as it stands it uses the source’s full recovery mode, complete with extensive logging. We’d like to change the recovery mode of the clone so as to avoid unnecessary logging and hopefully speed up the index rebuild on the clone.

Would setting the recovery to simple on the clone affect the source?

Change database recovery mode on the clone database will not effect production database.
