"_recent" snapshots with vSphere plugin

Hi community,

can anyone tell me how to configure generic naming in the vSphere plugin? We need it for NDMP dumps of the NFS datastore volumes.

We configured the plugin with timestamp naming for the snaps and everything works fine. But when we change the naming to "_recent" in the gui we get the following error:

How can we get "_recent" snaps?

scServer/engine/etc/validation/plugins/vibe.conf

There is a variable that you can tweak SNAP_TIMESTAMP_ONLY=N

Please be aware that timestamp snapshots are preferable because _recent might differ between datastores and can cause confusion.
