Hi Team,

We've just put OCI on the customer CDOT production environments, and found out that FC traffic to single LUN are coming from another FC port of another LIF which not assigned to the LUN. Even though majority percentage (80%) are still come from the appropriate LIF, but another 20% are coming from another LIF which is not assign to the LUN. All traffic were shows in OCI.

Any one experiencing this before ?

Thank you.

Hi,

So you create a LUN, map it to a igroup, and in igroup you determine which initiators can access to luns mapped into this igroup.

In this point every path / fc-lif is valid.

if you want to use specific lifs, you have to create a portset which includes these lifs and add make sure it's part of that igroup.

>net int show

>igroup show -instance

>portset show

Hi Ismo,

Yes confirmed, I’ve got 16 FC Ports per controller, and divided them itu 4 ports/LIF per PortSet.

4 Portset for 4 different function, 3 portset for 3 blades of ESX, and 1 for AIX Servers.

But OCI captured that 80% traffic goes to correct LIFs/Ports while 20% still goes to other portset.
