V-Series, how to move an aggregate to another diskarray?

Hello

We have 2 V3160 in a metrocluster config, and I would like to move an aggregate to USP-V disk instead of AMS2300 disk because we've got some performance issues with the AMS.

Is it possible to remove one plex from the syncmirror and add array LUNs from the USP-V instead?

The aggregare contains volumes that are shared through NFS

I'd like to do it without any downtime since VMware are using the volumes as datastores

There is no problem removing a plex; it can always be done online (assuming, the other plex is online and working ☺ )

But keep in mind that V-Series documentation and MetroCluster Support Matrix explicitly state that aggregate should contain only LUNs from the same storage families. It is likely that mix is technically doable; but I would still contact NetApp for approval in case something goes wrong and you will need support.
