E2724 DDP Rebuild

Hello alltogether,

short question from us. We are using a Dynamic Disk Pool with 14 Drives. In the past we had 3 failures of hard disks. No problem for the DDP, disks were removed and new ones inserted. No impact on performance.

Now we had a disk failure and immediately a rebuild started for over 4 hours. Performance was degraded so that customers were not able to work. The only change in configuration was SSD Cache. Same I/O on the system.

Does anyone know this behaviour?

Kind Regards

Alex

Hello Alex,

You informed that "In the past we had 3 failures of hard disks. No problem for the DDP, disks were removed and new ones inserted. No impact on performance", in this case SSD cache was it enabled?

Was the capacity same in the past and now in the particular volume?

Thanks

Vinay
