Dear All

I have a FAS2240-4 7-mode HA where we have to add a new disk shelf DS4243 for capacity expansion could you please verify if the steps below are corect in order to add all the new disk to the existing aggregate:

1. after the H/W installation we have to  check that new disks are available with command disk show -n

2. add the disks to existing aggregate (aggr1) wtih the command: aggr add aggr1 -d v5.22 v.523 v.524 ..........etc

3. expand the volumes

Thanks and Regards

Before adding disks to aggregate you need to assign them to correct controller (disk assign). Depending on your configuration it may happen automatically and it may be wrong (see description of disk.auto_assign option).

No; all other steps are still required.

Yes, as long as total aggregate size will not exceed platform limits (check HWU).
