limitation for no. of disk shelves in a loop

Hi Frndz,

Is there is any limitation of no.of. disk shelves in a loop based on the FAS model, if so can any one please provide me those details.

The max ds14 shelves is 6 per loop and the max sas shelves ds4243 or ds2246 are 10 per stack. Per fas appliance up to the max disks supported for the platform whichever limit is hit first.

For completeness: in a Fabric MetroCluster the maximum number of DS14 shelves in a loop is 2.

Would not be the first time people forget this limitation

Good point... we haven't implemented many metroclusters (a couple of stretched) and they are a bit more involved now with the ATTO bridges, but nice to be able to use the SAS shelves now.
