Hi

i tried to delete a splitted clone with SMO 3.0.1 and Snapdrive 4.1.1 but without success

the source database 10g run on NFS (AIX 5.3). First i created the clone (one volume) on an alternate host (second AIX server). Then i splitted the clone.

Then i tried to delete the clone through SMO (smo clone delete...) but the command failed

is SMO 3.0.1 able to delete a splitted clone (on NFS) and deleting also the floexvolume on which are store the NFS mount ?

thanks for any help.

What error you got. Can you send SDU/SMO Dumps.

hi

thanks for answer

i'll try again and get the logs if necessary.

Could you tell me if, with NFS, SMO SMO 3.0.1 is supposed to be able to delete a clone for which the volume has been splitted throug Filerview or cli ?

if so are there specific requirements to follow ?

According to this document, i would say yes, it should work: http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3761.pdf

thanks for your help.

In case of NFS after split, delete clone will not work.

It will work in SAN environment
