NetApp Certification Program: Exams and Certifications

NCSIE Certification and Exam


NetApp announces a new certification for Professional Services consultants and Implementation Engineer - NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, Clustered Data ONTAP (NCSIE cDOT).


  • To earn this certification candidates must pass the new NS0-180, NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, Clustered Data ONTAP exam, which is now available through Pearson VUE.
  • The NS0-180 exam will also be offered free at NetApp Insight2015 in Las Vegas, October 12-15 and Berlin, November 16-20.
  • The NCSIE cDOT certification replaces the NetApp Accredited Installation Professional (NAIPCDOT) in the Clustered Data ONTAP 8.3 PS Professional Learning Path.

Partner Compliance


Partner employees that have already earned the Clustered Data ONTAP 8.3 PS Professional by successfully completing NAIPCDOT are required to earn their NCSIE cDOT certification by November 1, 2016 to maintain compliance with PS Certification.


  • From October 1, 2015 thru April 1, 2016 NetApp will run a program to assist any partner with a current NAIPCDOT that would like to earn their NCSIE cDOT will be given one free exam voucher to attempt the NS0-180 exam.
  • If you are a partner with a current NAIPCDOT and would like to receive a free voucher for the NS0-180 exam, please email with the title “NS0-180 voucher request” in the subject.
  • Include in the email your name, email address and Pearson VUE ID. If you do not have one, you can register for a Pearson VUE ID at
  • These vouchers are for partner use only and not for resell. You should receive your voucher within 10 business days of request receipt.
