Backup local NAS file services data (SMB and NFS file shares) to the cloud using SnapCenter graphical user interface
You can back up NAS file services data to the cloud and restore it from the cloud using SnapCenter and AltaVault.
1. Log-in to SnapCenter UI and go to Settings and Policies
2. Select Backup to Cloud Policy and click on Copy
3. Edit the Save policy as and click OK

4. Modify “Backup to Cloud demo_01” policy
a. Edit Local copies
i. Hourly Schedule
ii. Daily Schedule
b. Edit Cloud copies
i. Cloud Configuration

ii. Daily Schedule
iii. Weekly Schedule
iv. Monthly Schedule
5. Go to Resources for NAS File Services
6. Search for the volume which you want to replicate to the cloud
7. Either click on the + of the volume or drag the volume and drop it to the policy created in step 4

8. Click on “Create Backup” from the Policy and monitor the Job’s progress from the Activity Panel on bottom of page
