FAS2240HA with single DS2246 - Cabling Question

I am writing to see how to correctly cable a single DS2246 to my existing FAS2240.  All of the design guides show cabling in the context of multiple shelves.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here are the documents I've viewed:

Current Setup:

New Setup:  This is my best guess.

Now I plan to move all the 1TB drives to Controller 2 and put all the 600GB drives onto Controller 1.  This means I will have to reinstall Data OnTap 8.1.2 on Controller 1 and I must re-initialize the disks on Controller 2.

Hi,

Actually you can just move root volume from the existing location onto a new aggregate. Few threads explain it in more detail, e.g. https://communities.netapp.com/message/89932#89932

Update:

I have cabled my DS2246 per the diagram above.  I can now see my disks.  Now here comes the fun part.  My FAS2240-4 has 12x1TB drives and 12x600GB drives.  Currently, I have 8x1TB drives on Controller 1 and 4x1TB drives on Controller 2.  Now I plan to move all the 1TB drives to Controller 2 and put all the 600GB drives onto Controller 1.  This means I will have to reinstall Data OnTap 8.1.2 on Controller 1 and I must re-initialize the disks on Controller 2.  This realy isn't a big deal because I've yet to put my equipment into production.

I am referring to this document on how to install the software on Controller 1:  https://library.netapp.com/ecm/ecm_get_file/ECMM1280363.  Any additional help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think I have my plan of action:

I should mention that I have little experience with NetApp.

1.  Power off Controller 1.

2.  Boot Controller 2 to maintenance mode.

3.  Move all 1TB SATAdisks to Controller 2.

4.  Power on Controller 1 and enter into maintance mode.

5.  Move all 600GB SAS drives to Controller 1.

6.  Re-Installer the OS from the "loader" prompt using TFTP and the netboot.tgz file I pulled from NetApp's support site.

Please let me know if I have got this right.

Thanks,

Excellent suggestion!  I did run into a minor snag, which I was able to resolve.  I lost access to OnCommand System Manager after I did a cf takeover/giveback.  I had to go in and enter options httpd.admin.enable on on each of the controllers.
