False positives in OM

IHAC that is getting alerts that storage systems are down in OM, but they are not actually down.  Is there a bug that causes this or a setting that needs to be changed?

How far away are the systems from the OM server?  In my experience the further away they are (esp. network-wise) the more times you may see this as a failure in the network path can make it appear down.

Had a similar issue. Take a look at this bug http://now.netapp.com/NOW/cgi-bin/bol?Type=Detail&Display=383376 . Upgraded to 7.3.3 and fixed my

problem.

So is there a setting that we can increase to prevent this from happening then?

The two options that NetApp gave was to either ignore the message or upgrade to 7.3.2P2 or higher. We upgraded to 7.3.3 which resolved the false alerts.

Hi

I dont think the burt you mentioned is the cause. Because this burt only cause false positive of power supply failed and not filer its self
