Microsoft Canada and the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) Tap NetApp as a Finalist in Partner-to-Partner Innovation – Winners to be Announced in Toronto at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), July 2016.

Innovation. It doesn’t happen in a vacuum. In particular as technology advances, transforming our world at a rapid pace, no one company can do everything alone. NetApp needs its partners and alliances to help us achieve more for customers. To invent, to modernize and to transform.

NetApp has an amazing partner network. It is an asset we are proud of and one of our greatest strengths; our ability to attract talented partners into our ecosystem. Working together and leading the way with new ideas for our customers is driving positive business outcomes and real change.

Microsoft Canada IMPACT Award – NetApp, Cisco and TELUS

We were delighted to be recognized by Microsoft Canada as a finalist for two of their prestigious IMPACT awards - the Hybrid Cloud Innovation Award and the Winning Together Award. The IMPACT Awards celebrate technology innovation and impact in Canada. These awards are an acknowledgement of the outstanding work Microsoft partners do to produce leading solutions for Canadian businesses of all sizes.

TELUS, NetApp and Cisco co-invested to help TELUS build and introduce new managed services in Canada with hybrid cloud offerings built on Microsoft software. Featuring Cisco CCA for Microsoft and NetApp Data Fabric for data management, storage and migration, customers lined up to take advantage of the new TELUS solutions, which also fully leverage Microsoft Azure hyper-scale options.

The winners will be announced at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) during the Canadian keynote and awards event on Sunday, July 10, at the Roy Thompson Hall.

“Microsoft’s success as a company depends on great partners, and finalists like NetApp, Cisco and TELUS are a shining example of the kind of innovation our partner ecosystem drives year after year”, said Jason Brommet, director, partner strategy and channel chief, Microsoft Canada.

The International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) is the leading independent global organization for business networking in the Microsoft partner eco-system with 100+ chapters in more than 40 countries. IAMCP members represent the trusted, independent voice of the Microsoft partner community.

NetApp is being recognized for working with CDW to create an innovative Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) offering, which CDW can now sell to help customers benefit from a bundled, streamlined and fully managed AltaVault for Azure solution. By eliminating costly and time-consuming tape back-up scenarios, AltaVault for Azure lets customers migrate data to the Azure cloud in a fraction of the time it takes other solutions to do so. CDW’s solution increases manageability and reduces cost. NetApp’s ability to de-dupe, compress, encrypt and move data is unparalleled. Enterprises with massive files are now able to quickly access Microsoft’s Azure cloud for back-up, restoration, retrieval and collaboration.

NetApp is a finalist in the IAMCP regional (US) and global Partner-to-Partner categories.

The IAMCP Awards Program is designed to encourage and recognize Association members for the outstanding, innovative and creative products and services they deliver through trusted partner-to-partner and channel relationships. The winners will be announced at a special ceremony to be held on Tuesday, July 12 at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2016 (WPC).

Congratulations to all the teams who worked so collaboratively to design these solutions for our customers. We look forward to celebrating together in July at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto.
