🚀 New in NetApp Console: Smarter Licenses, Subscriptions & Billing Preferences
We’re excited to share some big news from the NetApp Console team! 🎉
Managing licenses and subscriptions just got a whole lot easier — and smarter — with the launch of Billing Preferences and enhanced Customer Notifications.
These updates, live since November, are now powered by two new roles — License & Subscription Viewer and License & Subscription Admin — giving you the flexibility and visibility you need to take full advantage of these features.
🌟 What’s New
1️⃣ Billing Preferences Made Simple
Quickly see exactly which NetApp license or marketplace subscription is powering each of your services — all in one place.

2️⃣ Easy Preference Management
Swap between licenses or subscriptions in seconds, and reorder marketplace subscriptions when multiple are active.

3️⃣ Streamlined Setup
Marketplace subscriptions are now automatically applied to your account once added — no extra configuration steps needed.

4️⃣ Smarter Notifications
Stay informed with timely alerts when:
- Your marketplace subscription capacity is nearing or exceeding pre-purchased limits.
- A subscription is about to expire — or has expired.
- You’re using a data service outside a pre-purchased private offer on a recurring basis.
💡 Why This Matters for You
- Clearer Billing Details – See at-a-glance which subscription or license is powering your premium services in the new Billing Preferences tab.
- Standard Billing, Simplified – No extra steps. Just connect your marketplace subscription and go.
- More Flexibility & Control – Choose to bill NetApp licenses before marketplace subscriptions and pick your preferred subscription per hyperscaler.
