NetApp at IBM Information On Demand Conference

By Louise Ledeen, IBM Global Alliance Team at NetApp

NetApp is a Gold Sponsor at this year's IBM Information on Demand (IOD) Conference, November 3-7, 2013, in Las Vegas. This is the fourth year that NetApp participated as a key sponsor at IBM's largest Information Management and Big Data conference of the year.

We will be showcasing IBM DB2 10.5 database software with BLU Acceleration. DB2 BLU is the new memory optimized capability for columnar data. We've tested DB2 BLU with the IBM Flex System enterprise chassis, which provides multiple compute engines for simultaneous management of a DB2 BLU environment with other analytics and business intelligence applications.

We are highlighting NetApp Clustered Data ONTAP (cDOT) 8.2 storage operating system. Through animations and presentations we'll articulate the benefits of cDOT 8.2, now available for the IBM System Storage N series in Release 29. The demos will also feature NetApp's Virtual Storage Tier (VST) technologies and the role HDDs, optional SSDs and Flash products have in optimizing the placement of data within applications like DB2 BLU.

Anyone planning to attend the IOD conference this year should definitely stop by the NetApp booth (#524-G) to say hi and see the exciting technological advances that we will be presenting.

Great to see!  Go Big Data solutions!
