Java NDMPCOPY available

Hi all,

I've created an Java NDMPCOPY utility. It started as my personal tool, out of necessity, for the original NDMPCOPY at ndmp.org was Solaris/HP build only. This java ndmpcopy also features local file as the backup target, for what its worth.

You can see the manual page and download the latest version from here:

Do give it a run if you want and post feedback here. This is work in progress and all and any input is very welcome.

Thanks,

Robert

Hi Robert,

Excellent job, copying to local worked fine for me! I have 2 extension requests:

- Let -dstport set the local listening port when copying to local so limiting the firewall is easy.

- Add the option on using a local file as the source

Thanks,

Dimitri

As already discussed offline, I have updated ndmpcopy with -dstport now pointing also to local data port, when target is local file. The new version is available at original post web link.

For local file being a data source, I'll think about that, it is not as trivial as above change.

Regards,

Robert
