Data Backup and Recovery

SMSQL & SQL Server 2008

Hello,
IHAC with the below  listed configuration on a brand new server.  Their current production  environment is running SQL Server 2000.  They have mounted a  robocopy of their existing database on the new server listed below.  I'm  not sure if this is a valid configuration.  I have seen references to SQL Server 2005 backward compatibility components so it makes  me wonder if this is  supported.
Upon starting SMsql it errors a few times as I  have shown in the attachment.  Has anyone had this same  experience?

Legacy databases have to be migrated to properly work in SQL 2008, that's true both for 2000 & 2005 versions:
