SNSP VMDK OR RDM

Darren_Oakley

We have snap manager SharePoint installed and want to make some configuration changes to the VM disks.

The current VMs reside on 2 x ESXi Hosts with the storage presented by Fibre Channel LUNs. The VMs have RDMs to map to the LUNs.

From the config guide, this LUN is:
LOG + INDEX SharePoint Logs and Search Index 25GB APP
75GB WFE K:\ - RDM LUN

We want to migrate the Networking to 10GbE but this will require us to present these storage for the K drive on each VM differently, iSCSI or attached VMDK.

Does SMSP need the disk to specifically be an RDM LUN or will it work if we present it as a VMDK?

Please let us know if you require additional information.
