Updating new OpsMan-IP for SDU/SMSAP/SMO?

Hi,

I have a customer, who's migrating his OpsMan 4.x into new server hw. The IP will change too. He has 50-60 SMSAP's/SMO's, so what is the procedure to update new OpsMan IP's for them?

1. Stop service

2. Change OpsMan-IP in SMSAP, SMO or SDU configuration file?

3. Start service

Like that? He's afraid something will happen when IP is changed. We cannot afford to fail SMSAP-backups…seems our internal snapmanager-dl's are removed, that's why I post here...

Cheers,

Jari

Yes, should be the way to go. And you might consider using a DNS alias this time ;x

Thanks Thomas!

The problem with alias is that they are in different VLAN's and not using DNS, so I don't think alias will work...

Cheers,

So you would need to edit each of the local hosts files and before doing so you could just change the ip, i got it ;o)
