Hi,
I wonder if someone has expirence with aggregate overvommitment.
Can you give me a hint how to solve this (pdf, best practices, theory and/or practice, ...)?
Thanks
Stefano
Hmm...can you elaborate a bit on the situation?
The most obvious thing to me would be a trial SnapMirror license to move some volumes to a different aggregate.
Hi Stefano,
Aggregate overcommitment is also called "thin provisioning" and there are a couple of tech reports about it.
For general information, see TR-3563, "NetApp Thin Provisioning", at http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3563.pdf.
For SAN environments, see TR-3483, "Thin Provisioning in a NetApp SAN or IP SAN Enterprise Environment", at http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr3483.pdf.
