I have a similar question for my environment. We have a cluster with 6 nodes (FAS8060) but 4 nodes to be dedicated for our VDI environment. We have 6 * DS2246 800GB SSD to be assigned to the 4 VDI dedicated nodes. What would be the best solution to split the 144 disks? Perhaps root aggr with 2 disks RAID-4 for each 4 nodes = 8. then split 136 evenliy among the 4 nodes with 1 or 2 spares?
According to the netapp doc found here: https://library.netapp.com/ecm/ecm_download_file/ECMP12466574 I can only assign 36 800GB SSD per node for 8060?
