Note from the Editor

Starting last November, Tech OnTap began a series of special issues emphasizing the highlights of the recent NetApp launch for future-ready IT. This month, we continue that series with feature articles on the new FAS3200 series, Unified Connect, and new SAS storage options.

NetApp leads the industry with its innovative technology for network convergence and SAS storage, and we've greatly enhanced the flexibility and expandability of our midrange lineup with the FAS3200. We hope you'll be excited by the potential of these new solutions. Tell us what you think in the Community.

FAS3200 Boosts Expandability

Midrange storage has to be flexible. When NetApp designed the FAS3200 series, we knew it needed more than just a bump in performance and capacity.

NetApp redesigned the FAS3200 for space efficiency, flexibility, and greater expandability, with up to 50% more PCIe slots and 15% more spindles and capacity.
