Hi friends,
I got the following error when a node try to send Autosupport to a SMTP host (FAS8020 - Ontap 9.2.x):
error message: FTP: weird server reply
Do you have any idea?
The only KB that matches the error message is the following:
https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1015614/loc/en_US
But It seems has no contents (even logged in with my account).
Would you guys have complete access to the KB above?
Thanks!
Hi,
I checked, this kB (FTP: weird server reply) isn't viewable to me as well. I think Drew_C is the right person to address the kB content/view issue.
Coming to the actual issue:1) Alex has nicely explained this error in his blog, so I believe most of the KB content is covered.https://alexdawson.net/2014/08/autosupport-stopped-working/
2) As you mentioned your Ontap is 9.2: There was a key change in 9.2 and that is: 'IP fastpath' is disabled, therefore 'static' routes comes into play.https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1072895 (This KB is viewable)
3) This thread also covers this issue. (Go straight to the resolution)https://community.netapp.com/t5/Data-ONTAP-Discussions/cDOT-ASUP-mails-sent-over-wrong-IP-or-how-to-configure-sender-LIF/td-p/32248
Hope it helps.
