will NDMP backup read traffic trigger VSCAN?

we have set the VSCAN on read, just wonder if CIFS NDMP backups will trigger VSCAN. can someone share your experience?

NDMP backup will not trigger Vscan.

vserver vscan on-access-policy create

-protocol <CIFS> - File-Access ProtocolThis parameter specifies the protocol name for which the On-Access policy will be created. Currently only CIFS is supported.
