netapp nodes refresh - need inputs

there is Netapp nodes refresh to be performed in my environment.
We are planning to replace 2 nodes in 6 node cluster ->  Can you please let me know how this done ?
We connect the new nodes to the existing cluster through intercluster switches & create lifs on the new nodes , migrate the lifs from old to new nodes for data migration ?
Is my understanding correct ?

That is correct.   You expand the existing cluster,  add the new nodes, configure them and move the data off the old ones.    You then enjoin the old nodes from the cluster.
