can SCV be upgraded with tar file?

Looks we have both ISO and tar files available for SCV upgrade. can SCV be upgraded by installing tar file instead of rebooting with ISO file? i didn't see the details. can someone share your experience?

Hi Felix,

You cannot upgrade SCV using tar file, only by using ISO file.
