Hi Abhinav,

If possible can you provide the df -h <volume_name >

so that we can get a clear picture

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

do you have any LUN in that volume

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

df -h <<vol_name_rdm>>
Filesystem total used avail capacity Mounted on
/vol/<<vol_name_rdm>>/ 900GB 542GB 357GB 60% /vol/<<vol_name_rdm>>/
/vol/<<vol_name_rdm>>/.snapshot 0GB 191GB 0GB ---% /vol/vol_name_rdm/.snapshot

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

@vijay reddy Yes

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

can you send snap list volname

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

Hi Vijay,

I think what you would be suggesting do delete the snap shots which are old and heavy.

but I don't want to go that way.

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

hi Abhinav,

can you give vol status vol_name_rdm and also vol options vol_name_rdm  here please

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

i wanted to check whether the snaps are tied up with clones

Re: hi following is the scenario could you please help?

If the lun space reservation is enabled then it takes the exact amount of space from volume for modification of data in the Lun

suppose let us assume that volume of 1 TB and u have created the lun with 200 GB and you enabled the sapce reservation while creating the LUN then it takes 250 GB for the lun and another 250 GB for the space reservation

this may cause the problem

sorry the delay reply
