Adding flash to a system (FAS2240)

Can you add a flash cache to an existing 2240 system?

By this I mean can you upgrade some of the regular disks to SSD, then use that to accelerate your spinning disks?

Buggy,

the 2240 (and the refresh of that, the 255x) use a small form factor controller that does not contain PCI slots so FlashCache is not an option for those models.  But you can have SSD drives and use them to create a FlashPool aggregate.   This will provide a read cache and provide a write cache for repetitive random overwrites.
