By default

When we use 9a and 9b,

the system is config the disk to be root-data-data partition in AFF Model,

Can it be config to root-data partition ?

Thanks

You'd use all the D1 partitions in one raid group and all the D2s in another. Then if an underlying SSD failed, you'd lose one from the D1 RG and one from the D2 RG, and they would rebuild onto a spare.

There's no effective difference - you can just assign all the data partitions to one node and create a multi-raid group aggr. However, please reach out to your reseller and account team if this is absolutely required - we will often have options to assist

(Note for account teams referred to this post - message me for details on FPVR process)

If all data is partitioned to one node,
Once the disk fails,
will it regarded as two disk failures?
