Hello,

Just to know if is it possible to activate "hybrid mode" on a new created aggregate, even actual flash pool is already used with an other aggregate.

The question is: can i use the same flash pool with more than one aggregate ?

Thanks for your reply

Best regards

On cdot 8.3 you can since it will slice each ssd for 4 partitions so you could basicly use those partitions on 4 different aggregates. However its not possible on older Data ONTAPs nor convert excisting pools to partitions.

Try looking at the following command library

https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1636022/html/GUID-8284CB30-5BC5-4D10-B0AA-AA8F8DAA752E.html

http://www.netapp.com/uk/communities/tech-ontap/1412-tot-dataontap.aspx

Gives a good understanding about SSD/HDD Partitioning and has some advantages for the 2500 series where Disk(s) are in the same chassis and you loose 6 disk for root aggr0
