Hi All,

Storage pool use SAS or SATA with SSD for caching, if SDD with double parity and failed three SDD disks, will aggregate data continue access without caching function?

Best regards,

Chung

Hello Chung,

If the Flash Pool were to fail for any reason, e.g. broken/failed disks, the entire aggregate would be marked offline.  Remember that Flash Pool will cache writes as well as reads, so it's important to protect it just like the capacity tier.  An appropriate number of spares is important.

Hope that helps.
